The Dog Kennel Manager creates the behind the scenes atmosphere. They ensure that enriching programs are created and followed through by kennel Staff. Dogs will be rotated throughout the day into different areas and activities. The Kennel Manager will be responsible for ensuring safety protocols are followed, your dogs safety is number one and the staff are motivated to not just “supervise” the dogs but interact with them to create better and better behaviors.
What to expect:
- Fair firm leader able to inspire and motivate attendants to provide the highest level of service to guests and their owners. Including but not limited to:
- Able to provide adequate scheduling and coverage for boarding and day care.
- Coordination of activities and events with the Resort & Training Team.
- Creating partnerships and coordinating the daily operations with the Resort Manager.
- Capturing photos, stories and posts so that clients have an open view of their pups and the fun they have each day.
- Conducting team meetings and ensuring communication with Training, Owner and Resort Staff & Management.
- Detail oriented person keeping an eye on the safety, maintenance, cleanliness and standards within the facility.
- Taking on tasks independently and is able to delegate to others.
- Commitment to keeping updates on safety protocols, enrichment ideas, programs and their own education with dog handling current.
- Provide weekly updates on behavioral issues and accomplishments coordinating with the training affiliate for any remediations or referrals needed.

What we look for:
We are looking for an individual with previous management experience preferably in the pet care industry with an emphasis on dog handling. Must be able to train and educate staff on safety protocols ensuring the safety and well being of the dogs. This position will coordinate scheduling, boarding capacity planning and daycare programs with the Resort Manager.
The position does require dog experience which can include volunteerism. It is important that the individual not only love dogs but want to lead them and create a fun & safe environment.

Dog Daycare & Kennel Attendants have the most important job of all, creating a fun, but safe environment for dogs to stay and play. SPR seeks to set itself apart from the typical facility in its commitment to dog safety and enrichment. You will be provided with training which will enable you to work with the dogs each day. Not just supervising playgroups but creating a fun interactive experience, encouraging safe play & some agility. The daycare will be structured with daily program of inside play, outside play and quiet time.
What to expect:
- Supervision and responsibility of dog play groups ensuring high levels of safety.
- Supervision and responsibility of dogs staying in boarding including walking for potty breaks and ensuring schedules meet dogs needs.
- Feeding and care of dogs in boarding.
- Handling tools and equipment and understanding the various collars, leashes, etc.
- Transport of dogs to and from daycare/boarding.
- Interactions with clients including providing feedback with the assistance of the Kennel Manager if needed or affiliate trainer.
What we look for:
We are looking for fun, caring individuals who not only love dogs but want to make them better. Previous dog experience is needed and can include volunteerism. This person will have great time management skills and be able to be flexible with scheduling. Must be able to multitask, communicate with resort staff and management & the ability to work weekends.
Oh and you have to be able to pick up and handle…poop. : )

Resort Receptionists are the first faces people see when entering SPR. We are looking to provide owners with a safe and friendly atmosphere to bring their dogs to when they are not able to be with them. A friendly face, a warm smile and a commitment to first class customer experience is our formula for success. The Resort Receptionist has a big impact on this.
What to expect:
- Friendly face with a commitment to a first-class customer experience as customers enter the establishment.
- Ability to handle difficult customers while maintaining dignity and respect for all.
- Daily maintenance of supplies including laundry, cleaning areas and ensuring health standards are maintained.
- Prepare food and medications appropriately.
- Maintenance of all front office & retail supplies, front desk presentation as well as ensuring the SPR Foyer is clean, organized & welcoming.
- Using Gingr system to check in guests, ensure updated shot records & assessments.
- Assisting with updates to social media and taking photos at our Awesome Events.
- Ability to handle dogs at check in including leash skills preventing dogs jumping and moving dogs out of reception quickly to ensure safety
- Will be able to double as a Day Care Attendant as well if needed in that area

What we look for:
We are looking for fun, caring individuals who not only love dogs but want to make them better. Previous customer interaction experience is needed. Experience using computer software, social media and photo equipment is helpful. Familiarity with dog diets and ability to ensure proper supplies are used is vital. This person will be very organized and be able to be flexible with scheduling.
